Climbing Lion's Head

Devil's Peak in the background, the view from my bedroom window is on the other side.

Well this actually happened two weeks ago, but here are the pictures from hiking Lion's Head. The whole thing really looks like a reclining lion. We took the path that involves climbing with chains. Granted it is only about 30 feet or so, but you do have to hold on to a chain and find footholds.

Looking back towards the hump of the lion. Signal Hill.

Tory,

Just a note to say hello. We're still complaining about the heat out here, but I'm happy to say the swamp cooler is working! I am buried in work on my paper for my professional project, and trying to make baby steps to a first full draft. I leave you with this fun fact: At 60.7 million barrels of crude oil in 2005, NM was 5th in the nation in oil production. (A barrel = 42 US gallons, so you see, the answer to life, the universe and everything really is 42.)

Hope all is well out your way. I love the scenary!
